Warhead

Here is an illustration called Warhead. It is about charging in and going head first. This was really fun to paint although I almost gave up at one point. I actually spent the whole day coming up with an idea, calling random friends and brainstorming over the phone. Many happy accidents and resolutions easily made this a great experience.

A friend of mine told me I was a better painter than I was at drawing. I think doing this piece, I can see why (not that I am great at painting). I had just seen the Tyrus Wong exhibit at the Disney Family Museum the day before. Very inspired, I had this painter mentality on when I was working on this piece. I thought I gave up on painting but the mark making was so intuitive. My only issue with painting is that I am color-blind.
